Rep. Steven Horsford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nevada’s 4th district, has recently made several public statements on social media addressing significant issues and honoring individuals of note. Horsford, who succeeded Ruben Kihuen in 2019, has a history of service including his tenure in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013.

On February 7, 2025, Rep. Horsford stated, "I joined @RepRichardNeal and the @WaysMeansCmte to address the largest illegal data breach in U.S. history—happening on Trump’s watch & at Elon Musk’s direction." He added that this situation represents not a functional government but rather "government dismemberment," urging awareness among Nevadans and all Americans.

The following day, February 8, 2025, he tweeted about North Las Vegas paying tribute to Officer Jason Roscow, who was killed in the line of duty. Horsford expressed that Roscow's impact on the community will be enduring and extended his condolences to Roscow's loved ones.

On February 10, 2025, Rep. Horsford shared his respect for Senator Mike McGinness with whom he served in the Nevada Legislature. He noted McGinness' lasting legacy as a statesman and offered condolences to McGinness' family.
