Representative Steven Horsford, currently serving Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, took to social media over the past few days to share his views on critical issues affecting his constituents and to engage with the community.

On April 2, 2025, Horsford participated in a Steering and Policy Committee hearing alongside former Social Security Commissioner, Martin O'Malley. He emphasized the importance of Social Security benefits, noting their significance to nearly 140,000 residents in his district, NV-04. He voiced strong opposition to attempts undermining these benefits, stating, "Yesterday, I joined the Steering & Policy Committee hearing with former Social Security Commissioner @MartinOMalley to speak on why these benefits matter. Nearly 140,000 Nevadans in NV-04 rely on them. These reckless attacks hurt real people — and we won’t stand for it. #NV04".

In a post made on April 3, 2025, Horsford addressed economic challenges, attributing recent difficulties to the former President Donald Trump's tariff policies. He did not mince words, stating, "Trump owns this mess. #TariffsAREtaxes #TrumpTax".

Later the same day, Horsford shared reflections from a meeting with high school students in Beatty, Nevada. He expressed inspiration from their discussions about important issues and optimism regarding their future, acknowledging, "Had an inspiring meeting with high school students from Beatty, NV! Hearing directly from them about the issues they care about—and their hopes for the future—was a powerful reminder of just how bright the next generation is. Grateful for the visit and excited to see all they’ll".
