Rep. Steven Horsford, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, recently shared several updates on social media regarding his team's efforts and legislative achievements. Born in Las Vegas in 1973, Horsford has a history of public service, including a tenure in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Horsford tweeted about assisting an elderly constituent with a long-standing Social Security issue: "#TeamHorsford assisted an 88-year-old constituent who had been waiting over a year for Social Security to process his military compensation claim. Thanks to my team's help, his claim was approved, bringing him the support he deserved."

The following day, December 10, 2024, Horsford highlighted another instance of his team aiding veterans: "My team assisted a veteran in securing a retroactive Combat Action Badge for his service in Iraq in 2006. The Nevada Army National Guard processed his request & he was honored during the June 2024 Day of Gratitude at Allegiant Stadium."

On December 12, 2024, Rep. Horsford expressed both satisfaction and concern regarding recent legislative developments: "I’m proud to secure major wins for Nevada in the FY25 NDAA, including funding for military construction & pay raises for our servicemembers. However, I’m disappointed by the last minute inclusion of harmful provisions that undermine military families’ well-being."
