He noted that there have been "escalated attacks on the media, labeling critical outlets as 'enemies of the people' and restricting press access to certain events." In another tweet on the same day, he addressed policy changes impacting transgender individuals. He stated that protections for transgender individuals were being rolled back by "rescinding guidelines allowing transgender students to use bathrooms matching their gender identity."
