Rep. Steven Horsford, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nevada's 4th district, has been vocal about issues of law and policy through his social media presence. On April 14, 2025, he addressed multiple concerns via his Twitter account.
On April 14, 2025, Rep. Horsford highlighted the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father allegedly wrongfully deported to El Salvador. Despite a Supreme Court order for his return, "Trump continues to refuse the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father who was wrongfully deported and is now imprisoned in El Salvador—despite a Supreme Court order calling for his return." Horsford emphasized the importance of adhering to legal judgments by stating, "Respecting the rule of law isn’t optional."
In another post on the same day, Horsford expressed his frustration with the Trump administration concerning trade policy. "The House Ways & Means Committee is supposed to have a say in trade policy. That’s why I was so frustrated last week—because in real time, the Trump administration announced a tariff pause, and the top trade representative didn’t even address it. This is complete chaos." He critiqued the administration for not informing the committee about a tariff pause in real time.
Later that evening, Horsford anticipated an upcoming event. He invited the public to participate, saying, "Looking forward to the conversation tonight. Tune in at 7PM ET and be part of it."
