Rep. Steven Horsford, a U.S. Congress member representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, has been actively discussing his legislative initiatives and public engagements through social media. Born in Las Vegas in 1973, Horsford has served both in the U.S. Congress and previously in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013.
On February 13, 2025, Rep. Horsford announced his participation in an upcoming discussion on the Julie Mason Show on POTUS Radio. He stated that he would be talking about his TIPS Act, which aims to "end the $2.13 subminimum wage for tipped workers and ensure millionaires can't dodge taxes."
Later that day, he emphasized via another tweet that "A tip is a gift, not a guarantee—and it’s time our tax code reflects that." Horsford highlighted the financial challenges faced by tipped workers earning as little as $2.13 per hour and praised Nevada's leadership while advocating for nationwide fair wages through the TIPS Act.
