The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is known to be a desirable school for transfer students.
In order to accommodate their transition to a new school, members of the Rebel Transfer Student Organization (RTSO) are sharing their experiences on how they came to the university and were able to succeed, according to a news release shared by the university.
“I chose UNLV when transferring because it is close to home,” RTSO President and psychology major Abigail Boron said in the release. “I went away to school, and during COVID-19 decided to transfer back home. I was also accepted into the Service Learning Honors program at UNLV, which made my decision easier!”
Boron added she was recently initiated into the honor society Phi Kappa Phi and looks forward to overcoming obstacles.
According to Boron: ''One of the biggest challenges I came into contact with was the actual process of transferring. I overcame that by having meetings with transfer advisors and applying early to make sure I could still get into good classes.''
According to Boron: ''I am the 2022-2023 president of the Rebel Transfer Student Organization. I would definitely recommend joining RTSO! It is a great way to get transfer advice, make new friends and get acclimated to a new campus!''
