Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress and has been in office since 2019, recently expressed concerns over several policies introduced by former President Donald Trump. These concerns were shared through a series of tweets posted on his social media account on April 6 and April 7, 2025.

On April 6, Horsford criticized Trump's decision to cut a program benefiting veterans. He stated, "Trump’s message to veterans: If you're facing foreclosure, you're on your own. He just cut a program that supported thousands of our heroes, who could now lose their homes."

Later that day, Horsford took a stand against the tariffs implemented by Trump, asserting that these measures would negatively affect consumers. He tweeted, "Only Donald Trump would impose withering taxes and call it 'leadership'. These tariffs won’t just hit businesses — they’ll hit your wallet, your grocery cart, your everyday life."

On April 7, Horsford reacted to the deportation targeting by the Trump Administration. Expressing his disapproval, he wrote, "Appalled to learn 4 @UNLV students are being targeted for deportation by the Trump Admin. This isn’t just policy—it’s a message of fear and exclusion. I’m monitoring the situation and will fight to hold Trump accountable. Every student deserves education without fear."
