Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month With The North Las Vegas Library District

City of North Las Vegas recently issued the following announcement.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month! Residents are encouraged to sign-up for a new library card to unlock a variety of programs, career support, online resources in addition to the thousands of books and movies that are available at our three local library branches. 

Among the free programs available to library card holders: 

  • eBooks and audiobooks through the Libby App
  • Classes and seminars through LinkedIn Learning
  • Courses for 70+ languages through Mango Languages
  • Video streaming with Kanopy
  • Educational tools for students, teachers and caretakers
Additionally, patrons can borrow internet hotspots, use computers and access databases.

Children of all ages can enjoy story-time and other activities that promote early literacy. Teens have an opportunity to explore virtual reality technology and join book clubs geared toward their age. Any student can advance their education through tutoring, homework help and test preparation. In addition, adults can find continuing education resources, career support, book clubs, writing workshops and more!
