Rep. Steven Horsford, U.S. Congressman representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account addressing issues ranging from federal nutrition assistance to healthcare and community investment.

On November 7, 2025, Horsford commented on the administration’s response to recent court rulings concerning SNAP recipients, stating: “After 2 weeks of telling SNAP recipients they were being cut off, and after 3 court rulings demanding an end to that cruelty, the administration finally relented to public pressure. We can never forget that if Trump and Republicans got it their way, 42 million Americans”.

In a post dated November 10, 2025, Horsford emphasized his party’s commitment to healthcare accessibility: “House Dems are in this for the people. Americans deserve affordable healthcare and that’s a fight worth championing everyday of the week.”

Later the same day, he highlighted a visit to an upcoming community resource in Las Vegas: “It was great to tour the future home of the new West Las Vegas Library — a space that will soon serve as a hub for learning, creativity, and community connection. Libraries are more than buildings filled with books — they’re gateways to opportunity. Proud to support investments”.

Horsford has served as Nevada’s representative in Congress since succeeding Ruben Kihuen in 2019. He previously held office in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Las Vegas in 1973 and currently residing there, Horsford is also an alumnus of the University of Nevada, Reno.
