Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent activities through a series of posts on August 7, 2025. His tweets addressed community engagement with Spanish-speaking families, support for veterans, and legislative developments affecting Nevada.
In a post at 15:30 UTC, Horsford wrote: “Joined @telemundolv and @dreambignv for a town hall centered on immigration-related resources for Spanish-speaking families as they prepare for the new school year. Grateful for the work being done to uplift and inform our communities. #NV04 #CommunitySupport https://t.co/S9aWcmNZvU”.
Later that day at 16:01 UTC, he highlighted efforts to honor veterans on Purple Heart Day: “On Purple Heart Day, we honor those who sacrificed for our country. That’s why I hosted a roundtable to hear directly from local veterans and why I’ll continue to fight to expand mental health care, job training, and critical support for veterans and military families https://t.co/j6GVPJ3Yob”.
At 18:06 UTC, Horsford referenced the anniversary of major federal legislation impacting Nevada’s economy: “Three year ago, we passed the Inflation Reduction Act-delivering historic investments in Nevada’s clean energy economy, lowering healthcare costs, and creating good-paying jobs statewide. Now, Republicans want to erase that progress with their Big Ugly Bill. https://t.co/gKzQ4buuAA”.
Steven Horsford has served as the U.S. Representative for Nevada’s 4th District since 2019 after succeeding Ruben Kihuen. Before his time in Congress, he was a member of the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013.
