Rep. Steven Horsford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nevada’s 4th district, has been vocal on various political developments through his social media platform. On March 5, 2025, he shared a series of tweets highlighting significant actions and policies under the Trump administration.

In a tweet posted on March 5, 2025, Rep. Horsford addressed actions taken by the Trump administration against FBI agents involved in January 6 cases. He stated that “The Trump admin targeted hundreds of FBI agents who worked on Jan 6 cases, demanding lists of all past/current investigators.” Additionally, he noted that “The Pentagon banned Black History Month & MLK Day celebrations, alongside Holocaust Remembrance events.

On the same day, another tweet from Rep. Horsford highlighted economic and military actions taken by former President Trump. According to Horsford’s post: “Trump imposed massive tariffs on Mexico, Canada & China—sparking immediate retaliation.” He further detailed Canada’s response with “Canada imposed $4.1B in tariffs on US goods.” In addition to trade issues, Horsford mentioned military activity: “Trump ordered military strikes in Somalia against ISIS.

A subsequent tweet from Rep. Horsford also dated March 5th discussed administrative decisions affecting USAID officials and Venezuelan immigrants in the United States. He reported that “USAID officials suspended after resisting Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) from accessing security files.” Furthermore, he highlighted immigration policy changes stating that “300,000 Venezuelans lost temporary protected status, given 60 days to leave the US.
