Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted several messages on his official Twitter account on September 19, 2025, addressing community achievements, business engagement, and national political issues.
In a post published at 14:11 UTC, Horsford acknowledged the anniversary of a prominent fraternity: “As a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., I salute our brothers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. on their Founders’ Day. Since 1963 at Morgan State, Iota has embodied ‘Building a Tradition, Not Resting Upon One.’ Congrats on 62 years of excellence! “.
Later that day at 14:33 UTC, he commented on his interactions with members of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C.: “It was great seeing so many @LVChamber members here in DC. Their dedication, advocacy, and insights shape Vegas businesses and help guide my work for Nevada. Thank you for the opportunity to speak with so many of you!”.
At 15:50 UTC the same day, Horsford addressed healthcare policy concerns related to former President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans: “Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are making life harder and more expensive. Their assault on healthcare is one of the clearest examples—closing hospitals and nursing homes, stripping care from millions, and driving up costs for everyone else. Healthcare is a right, not”.
Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Ruben Kihuen. He previously served in the Nevada Senate between 2009 and 2013. Born in Las Vegas in 1973 and currently residing there at age 49, Horsford graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BA in 2014.
