Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has used his social media platform to highlight legislative priorities and recent actions regarding federal workers and healthcare access.
On October 9, 2025, Horsford addressed the ongoing government shutdown and its impact on federal employees. He wrote: “Federal workers keep our country running — they deserve their paychecks, not IOUs. My Pay Workers What They’ve Earned Act will make sure they’re made whole the moment Republicans end this reckless shutdown.”
Later that day, he posted about standing with faith leaders to support healthcare protections: “Grateful to stand with @networklobby and faith leaders today to protect health care.
Public service isn’t about position or prestige; it’s about compassion and commitment. You can’t truly serve the people if you don’t love them enough to fight for their healthcare, to make sure” (October 9, 2025).
