Rep. Steven Horsford, the U.S. Congressman representing Nevada’s 4th district, used his social media platform on November 6, 2025, to address constituents about ongoing political issues and express gratitude for congressional leadership.
On November 6, 2025, Horsford announced an online session with constituents to discuss national policy concerns. He stated, “I’m going live right now with constituents from across #NV04 to talk about the Republican Shutdown, health care cuts, disruptions to SNAP benefits, and more. Tune in here to listen along live!”
Later that day, he commented on the duration of the government shutdown and its impact on Americans dependent on federal programs. On November 6, 2025, he wrote: “Week 6 of the GOP-led shutdown – now the longest in U.S. history. Tune in to today’s S&P hearing as @HouseDemocrats hear directly from families whose lives have been upended – people who rely on SNAP and the ACA just to get by. It’s time to reopen the government, protect”.
In a separate post on November 6, 2025, Horsford expressed appreciation for former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s contributions: “Thank you @SpeakerPelosi for dedicating your life to strengthening our country and protecting the vulnerable. From passing the #AffordableCareAct to repealing #DADT to breaking down barriers as the first female Speaker and first woman to lead a political party in Congress,”
Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District since replacing Ruben Kihuen in Congress in 2019 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 2009 through 2013. Born in Las Vegas in 1973 and currently residing there at age 49, Horsford is an alumnus of the University of Nevada, Reno.
