Rep. Steven Horsford, a U.S. Congressman representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and voice criticism of House Republicans’ fiscal priorities.

On May 19, 2026, Horsford promoted the bipartisan PARITY Act in a post stating: “Our PARITY Act brings long-overdue clarity and common-sense guardrails to digital asset taxation. The bi-partisan bill creates clear rules of the road that protect consumers and investors, prevent abuse, strengthen accountability, close the wealth gap and ensure innovation can”.

Later that day, he elaborated on the legislation’s aims with another post: “Innovation should create opportunity for everyone, not just those already ahead. The Digital Asset PARITY Act modernizes the tax code for the digital age, creates clearer rules, and ensures emerging financial tools help expand financial inclusion and pathways to wealth.”

On May 20, Horsford commented on economic challenges facing working families after attending an SEIU rally: “I spoke at the @SEIU rally today because working people are tired of House Republicans spending billions of dollars advancing their own political agenda while families struggle to afford health care, housing, and groceries. That is a choice.”

Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Ruben Kihuen in 2019. He previously served in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Las Vegas in 1973 and currently residing there at age 49, Horsford graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BA in 2014.
