Rep. Steven Horsford, U.S. Congressman representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, posted a series of tweets on November 20, 2025, highlighting his legislative work and expressing concerns over recent political rhetoric.
In a tweet at 18:53 UTC, Horsford shared praise for coverage of his efforts to safeguard a key employment incentive: “Great article by @MiniRacker at the @TheNVIndy on my work to protect the Work Opportunity Tax Credit. This credit helps veterans, long-term unemployed Americans, and so many others get a fair shot at good jobs. My new bill would make sure this credit lives on and provide much”.
Later that evening at 19:41 UTC, Horsford addressed statements made by former President Donald Trump: “Donald Trump called for elected members of Congress to be hanged. His behavior is unacceptable, all because of a video reminding our military to refuse orders that violate the law or the Constitution. This is dangerous political rhetoric. While he continues to play games, he”.
At 19:42 UTC, he added another statement concerning presidential authority: “The president is not a king, and you do not have to bow down to him.”
Steven Horsford was born in Las Vegas in 1973 and currently resides there. He earned his BA from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014. Before entering Congress in 2019—succeeding Ruben Kihuen—he served in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013.
