Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on infrastructure improvements and social programs impacting his constituents through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On August 13, 2025, Horsford announced upgrades to water and wastewater systems at Great Basin National Park. In his post, he stated: ” Big news! Great Basin National Park now has clean, safe water for guests thanks to upgraded water and wastewater systems.
These improvements ensure reliable service for visitors, wildlife, and staff—protecting this natural treasure for years to come.

The following day, Horsford highlighted the legacy of Social Security as it marked its 90th anniversary. On August 14, he wrote: “For 90 years, Social Security has lifted seniors out of poverty, honored their lifetime of work, and given families strength in vulnerable moments. It is an earned benefit for millions, including thousands of Nevadans. Democrats built it, have always defended it, and will never https://t.co/7mw43rSD3F”.
Later that same day at Decatur Commons—a local housing community—Horsford reaffirmed his commitment to defending Social Security benefits against proposed federal legislation. He posted: “Every month, Social Security helps nearly 150K Nevadans pay rent, keep the lights on, and afford medicine. At Decatur Commons, I reaffirmed my commitment to protect this earned benefit from the Trump Admin’s Big Ugly Bill. No Nevadan should face poverty in old age. #NV04 https://t.co/oDrRZDGitq”.
