Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted Nevada’s voting measures and federal tax filing programs in a series of posts on August 7 and 8, 2025.

On August 7, Horsford emphasized the state’s initiatives to improve voter access: “Nevada has led the way with proactive measures, like automatic voter registration and expanded mail-in voting, ensuring voting is accessible and secure for every Nevadan.” That same day, he continued his focus on voting rights by stating: “Protecting the right to vote is critical to our democracy. Today–and every day–we honor those who fought for this right by working to defend and expand it. Let’s continue striving to make Nevada and our entire nation a place where every vote matters, every voice counts, and”

On August 8, Horsford addressed changes in federal tax filing options: “Direct File saved Americans an average of 13 hrs & $270 each year when filing their taxes. No reason for Trump to end it, other than to make taxes more expensive & inconvenient for hard-working Americans. #ReverseRobinhood https://t.co/kaBuePzz0h?”
