Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared reflections on community events and milestones in a series of posts on October 14, 2025.
In one post, Horsford honored a local religious leader, stating, “Honored to join the community at First AME Church to celebrate the life of Rev. Lenoard B. Jackson – a man of faith, justice & unity. His legacy lives on in every Nevadan he inspired to serve, vote & lead with purpose. #NV04” (October 14, 2025).
He also recognized the anniversary of the U.S. Navy, writing, “This weekend, we celebrated @USNavy’s 250th Birthday. From sailors stationed here in Nevada to those serving across the globe, we thank you for your courage, discipline, and sacrifice. Your service keeps our nation safe and our democracy strong #NavyBirthday” (October 14, 2025).
Additionally, Horsford attended a cultural event in the state, posting, “This weekend, I was proud to attend the Asian Lantern Festival, a beautiful celebration of art, light, and unity hosted by the Asian Community Development Council @acdcnv. Nevada’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA & NHPI) communities play a vital role” (October 14, 2025).
Steven Horsford has served as the U.S. Representative for Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, following his tenure in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013. He was born in Las Vegas in 1973 and continues to reside there. Horsford is an alumnus of the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2014.
