Rep. Steven Horsford, U.S. Congressman representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, raised concerns about rising living costs and the impact of Republican policies in a series of posts on December 3, 2025.
In his first post at 15:11 UTC, Horsford wrote, “Families feel it: rent is up, groceries are up, utilities are up, and healthcare costs are about to surge, too. Trump and Republicans drove prices up with tariffs, ACA cuts, and giveaways to billionaires. Now working families are left to clean up the mess. Democrats are fighting”.
Later that day at 16:50 UTC, he added urgency to the issue by stating, “Time is not on our side. We need to lower costs, extend ACA tax credits, and cancel the GOP’s health care cuts. If Republicans don’t come to the table, families in NV-04 will face massive premium hikes. Richard from Las Vegas told me his healthcare costs could jump over $4,000”.
In a subsequent post at 18:30 UTC, Horsford addressed the economic consequences of trade policy under former President Trump: “Let’s talk facts – the #TrumpTariffs are the largest tax increase as a percent of GDP since 1993, and they’re crushing our economy.
