Rep. Steven Horsford, U.S. Congressman representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, posted a series of statements on social media addressing congressional developments and his stance on recent legislative proposals.
On November 12, 2025, Horsford welcomed a new member to the House: “Proud to welcome Congresswoman @Rep_Grijalva the first Latina Congresswoman from Arizona, to the U.S. House of Representatives. She’s eager to work for the people she represents — and I look forward to working alongside her to deliver results for our communities. #AZ07 #NV04”
Later that day, Horsford commented on ongoing budget negotiations and health care policy in Congress. At 23:57 UTC, he stated: “Health care has been at the center of the #RepublicanShutdown since Day One. I’m about to vote NO on the Senate Republican proposal to temporarily fund government while doing nothing to assure working Nevadans that they will have access to affordable health care going forward.”
Continuing this theme into November 13, Horsford shared his actions following a key vote: “Just came off the House Floor where I voted NO on the Republican temporary budget. Healthcare is a human right and an economic imperative, and this bill does nothing to assure my constituents that affordable care will be accessible going forward.
28,000+ people in my district”
Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Ruben Kihuen in 2019. He previously served in the Nevada Senate from 2009 through 2013 and holds a BA from the University of Nevada, Reno (2014). Born in Las Vegas in 1973, Horsford continues to reside there as he serves his constituents.
