Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 20, 2025, addressing statements made by former President Donald Trump and expressing concerns about the safety of elected officials.
In one tweet posted at 19:42:41 UTC, Horsford stated, “Donald Trump called for elected Members of Congress to be hanged. His behavior is unacceptable. This is all because of a video reminding our military to refuse orders that violate the law or the Constitution. This is dangerous rhetoric that risks the safety of Members of Congress”.
Two additional tweets were shared by Horsford at 19:42:39 UTC and 19:42:40 UTC, which can be viewed at this link and this link respectively.
Steven Horsford has served as the representative for Nevada’s 4th district since 2019 after succeeding Ruben Kihuen. He previously held office in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013 and holds a BA from the University of Nevada, Reno. Born in Las Vegas in 1973, Horsford continues to reside there while serving in Congress.
