Rep. Steven Horsford, U.S. Congressman representing Nevada’s 4th district since 2019, recently shared a series of posts on his official Twitter account addressing federal court decisions, community events, and criticism of current federal policies.
On October 31, 2025, Horsford expressed support for Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford and other states in a legal challenge against the Trump–Vance administration. He wrote, “I stand with @NevadaAG Attorney Ford, and 26 states who took the Trump–Vance administration to court—and won. A federal judge ordered USDA to use contingency funds to keep SNAP benefits going. #KeepFamiliesFed”.
The following day, November 1, 2025, Horsford posted about his participation in a local event at Creech Air Force Base: “Had a great time at Hallow Creech celebrating with the incredible service members and families of Creech Air Force Base. Your dedication, strength, and community spirit make Nevada proud. Thank you for all that you do –today and every day. #NV04 #HallowCreech https://t.co/BpKg2bPlvq”.
Later that day, he criticized the Trump administration’s approach to social welfare and government spending: “Cruelty isn’t a byproduct of Trump’s policies — it’s the point. Health care premiums are spiking. SNAP benefits are on the line. This admin is spending millions on ballrooms and jets. Read my full op-ed in the @LasVegasSun https://t.co/de1Dp0rYse”.
Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Ruben Kihuen in 2019 and previously served in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Las Vegas in 1973, Horsford continues to reside there today. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014.
