Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed key issues facing his constituents through a series of posts on March 10, 2026.
In one post from that day, Horsford commented on the economic consequences of ongoing international conflict: “Oil and gas prices are rising rapidly as the war with Iran continues to escalate, pushing global energy markets higher and driving up costs for families. When asked about the impact at the pump, Donald Trump dismissed concerns, saying higher gas prices are “a very small price to” (March 10, 2026).
Later that evening, he turned attention to local issues affecting Nevada residents: “Nevada was once a place where families could find affordable homes. Today, it has become a symbol of the nation’s housing affordability crisis, with prices rising dramatically in recent years. After hearing directly from communities across NV-04, I launched a housing platform” (March 10, 2026).
In another post from March 10, Horsford announced an initiative aimed at connecting more closely with workers in his district: “I’m launching a new series: Congressman on the Job.
I’ll be stepping into workplaces across the district and spending time with workers to better understand the day-to-day realities they face. This isn’t a photo op. It’s about listening, learning, and making sure the voices of” (March 10, 2026).
Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District since replacing Ruben Kihuen in Congress in 2019 and previously served in the Nevada Senate between 2009 and 2013. Born in Las Vegas in 1973 and currently residing there at age 49, Horsford graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BA in 2014.
