Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed economic and policy challenges facing Southern Nevada through a series of posts on his social media account.
On March 8, 2026, Horsford highlighted concerns about housing affordability in the region: “Housing affordability continues to be a real challenge for families across Southern Nevada. Recent reports show home sales declining as many buyers struggle with affordability in the Las Vegas Valley. That’s exactly why I launched a comprehensive housing platform after listening”.
The following day, March 9, 2026, he commented on recent legal and economic developments related to tariffs: “After the Supreme Court ruled Trump’s tariffs unlawful, states including Nevada are now challenging new global tariffs. These tariffs have raised prices and hurt small businesses and working families. That’s why I introduced the RELIEF Act with Rep. Janelle Bynum to automatically”.
Later that same day, Horsford addressed employment figures and their impact on American households: “The latest jobs report shows the U.S. lost 92,000 jobs and unemployment rose to 4.4% last month. Working families are already feeling the pressure of rising costs, and economic uncertainty only makes things harder. We should be focused on creating good-paying jobs and”.
Steven Horsford has represented Nevada’s 4th District in Congress since 2019 after previously serving in the Nevada Senate from 2009 to 2013. Born in Las Vegas in 1973, he continues to reside there today. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014.
