Rep. Steven Horsford, who represents Nevada’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform on September 5, 2025, to address legislative priorities and comment on recent developments affecting Nevadans.
In a post made at 17:20 UTC, Horsford stated, “Back in D.C. to fight for Nevada. I’m taking on GOP’s health care cuts, tackling the housing crisis, and working to lower costs for working families. #NV04 https://t.co/ODDaFTrNAd”.
Later that day at 20:21 UTC, he criticized Republican policies regarding clean energy tax credits and their impact on household expenses: “Republicans robbed Nevadans of clean energy tax credits to fund tax breaks for the ultra-rich. Now we’re paying the price: electricity bills are up $5/month, that’s $264 more a year for families.

At 21:17 UTC, Horsford paid tribute to Joseph McNeil, a member of the Greensboro Four and civil rights activist who recently passed away: “Sad news w/ the passing of Greensboro Four member & civil rights hero Joseph McNeil. His 1960 lunch counter sit-in helped ignite a movement—within 2 months, 50k students were protesting in 54+ cities. Rest in peace & power, Joseph.
